— > Book design for Takako Hamano at the Sieboldhuis (Red Dot Award).

Text from the Red Dot Award jury: This book converts the texts and drawings of japanese artist Takako Hamano, who made them during her search for traces in Japanese and Dutch fishing villages, into a homogenous design. The texts are arranged on very thin paper so as to shine through and be visible on the following page beside the photos placed there. Thus, the levels of perception and personal memories become interwoven and mirror each other. Elements that were cut out of the illustrations enhance these effects. The book can be ordered at Idea books.
